Put It Away

Just Jump

NIKON D200, 18 mm, 1/1000 sec, f 4.5, 400

It seems that more often than we'd like, we end up at crossroads - left to choose between a familiar road or a risky new place. All my life I've held on to ideals and swore to make certain choices at specific times of my life. Now, as those times approach - and those decisions are staring me in the face - it becomes hard to stick to your guns, and it becomes obvious why people tend to make choices that are safe or comfortable but ultimately boring. I've come to appreciate the value in comfortable and boring, but after all the work I've done in the last few years, I will never settle for that. Sometimes you need to jump even if you don't know how to fly. When the time comes, I will jump off that cliff, and that's what this picture respresents.

This was taken at Genevieve's on Memorial Day. This is a photo of her sister Katrina - I had her jump off the roof of her house for this shot.
