Moot Point

Canon EOS 5D, 24 mm, 1/500 sec, f 8, 200

I took this photograph last Tuesday in Stone Harbor. This is the tail end of the island - the stretch of beach leading down to "The Point". It seems a bit surreal at this time of year because the right hand side of this image would normally be lined with 50-60 boats. This is where they are docked during the season, but they have apparently been taken in for the winter.

  • E. McCune » I just discovered your blog a few days ago via coolphotoblogs.com and I am very impressed with your work. Keep it up!
  • Jess » sigh...i wish it was summer. we say this every year but this summer we need to get to the beach a lot more.
  • Tim » This is even better than the last one !!! And makes one wish it was summer again.....

Just wondering, was it cold ??? Cause it feels like this was taking on a summer morning.
  • Mrs. Faust » It looks pretty deserted. Did you put any of those tire tracks on the sand?
  • Laurie » The light is so beautiful this time of year. It is deceptive because it looks so warm.

    Beautiful photo.
