Lost Coastlines #3

Beautiful Morning at the Jersey Shore

Stormy Path, Stone Harbor

Canon EOS 5D, 24 mm, 1/500 sec, f 10, 250

This is the path that leads you up to the beach from 100th Street in Stone Harbor. This is where you leave your sandals if you're exploring the beach late at night, or where you have to use your ninja abilities to slip past beach tag inspectors, or where you turn around and snap one final image of the rising sun as you leave the beach each morning. As I was walking up to the beach on day 1 of Stone Harbor vacation this year, this was the first photograph I took.

  • Mrs. Faust » I wouldn't mind feeling the path under my feet right now--or sometime in the near future. Thanks for at least visually putting me back on the path.
  • Laurie » It's a beautiful path and I love the split rail fence.
  • dave kleinert » excellent composition Justin :)
  • Raffi » The composition on this one is perfect. Ever thought of adding a gradient on the sky. I think it would make that sky really pop! But the shot is really great the way it is!
